A healthy earth
nourishes all.
Everywhere.

Climate accountability. ESG. Carbon crediting. Ecosystem restoration. The food chain — soil, water, food, community, climate — is the same chain everywhere. A mangrove under pressure in Odisha and one in Indonesia are the same conversation. Pinnk Ravenz is rooted in Odisha. Our reach is not.

// The Name

Every letter was chosen deliberately.

Pinnk — for the pink of health. In an industry defined by black coal and grey slag, pink is not decoration. It is a declaration.

Ravenz — the scavenger-restorer. Arriving where damage has been done and beginning the repair.

PINNK

The pinkest of health

Vitality as a standard. The colour of a living system at its fullest. Two N's because ordinary health is not what we are after.

RAVENZ

Black. Present. Indispensable.

The scavenger-restorer. Sees the whole system. Processes what others leave. Makes the ecosystem whole again — including the people within it.

Five leaves

Soil · Water · Food · Community · Climate

Damage any one and the others follow. Restore any one and the others begin to recover. Community includes everyone — particularly those most often excluded.

The pink beak

The feminine in the dark work

A black raven with a pink beak. Human empathy inside rigorous practice. Founded by a woman researcher in gender and transgender studies. The lens changes everything.

"When we speak of a healthy earth nourishing all — we mean all. The farmer, the tribal elder, the coastal fisherwoman, the transgender community member living at the edge of a mining district in Odisha. ESG that does not account for the most marginalised is not ESG. It is optics."

— Dr. Purnima Anjali Mohanty, Founder

// How We See the World

The food chain is not a metaphor.
It is what everything runs on.

Every industrial act — every mine, every furnace, every cleared forest, every policy decision — sits inside a living chain. When that chain is ignored, quality of life pays the price. When it is accounted for, something remarkable becomes possible.

01

Soil

The foundation

Everything begins here. Mining degrades soil. Agroforestry rebuilds it. No soil, no food. No food, no people. No people, no industry. This is arithmetic.

02

Water

The carrier

Mangroves filter it. Mine runoff poisons it. Water stress is already a material ESG risk in every industrial corridor we work in.

03

Food

The measure

Food security is the most honest measure of ecological health. When communities near industrial sites lose food sovereignty, that is a governance failure. It belongs in every audit.

04

Community

The witness

Communities — women, tribal peoples, transgender individuals — are the first to feel ecological degradation. We bring that presence into every room where decisions are made.

05

Climate

The reckoning

Climate change is the accumulated cost of ignoring the chain. Carbon accounting, restoration, crediting — these are the beginning of a repair. That repair is our work.

// Restoration Work

Three ecosystems.
One living system.

Mangroves, agroforestry and afforestation are three expressions of the same understanding — that a degraded landscape is an accountable failure, and a restored one is a measurable asset.

01

Coastal

Mangrove Restoration

"A mangrove is an ecosystem in itself. A rich, thriving mangrove brings climate sustainability."

Mangroves store up to five times more carbon per hectare than tropical forests. They protect coastlines, filter water, sustain fisheries and shelter communities. Degraded mangroves are a significant carbon credit opportunity — in India, Southeast Asia, East Africa and beyond. Pinnk Ravenz develops projects under Verra's Blue Carbon methodology.

Blue CarbonVerra VM0033Coastal ResilienceIndia & Global
02

Land

Agroforestry

"Trees and food and the people who tend both — they are the same conversation."

Agroforestry integrates trees into farming systems to improve soil health, increase food security and sequester carbon. For tribal and women-led farming communities, this is not an environmental programme. It is a livelihood strategy. Pinnk Ravenz designs interventions that generate Gold Standard credits while genuinely improving lives.

Gold Standard ARRSoil CarbonFood SecurityGender Lens
03

Forest

Afforestation

"Post-mine land is not wasteland. It is an obligation waiting to become an asset."

Every mine closure leaves land stripped of its biological capacity. Afforestation on degraded industrial terrain turns remediation obligations into tradeable carbon assets. Pinnk Ravenz designs projects under Verra VCS and India's domestic offset mechanism, rebuilding habitat and food chain simultaneously.

// What We Do

For governments and corporates
ready to act.

We work at the level of execution — not reports that describe the problem and leave the room. Every engagement ends with something that can be acted on.

// The Numbers

Not projections.
What is already happening.

01 / Emissions

2.5t

CO₂ per tonne of Indian steel

Global best practice is 0.8 tonnes. That gap is an environmental problem today and a trade problem from 2026 when EU CBAM arrives. The companies that close it earn. The ones that don't, pay.

— World Steel Association, 2023

02 / Mandate

253

Steel units with legally binding GHG targets

Iron and steel is a notified CCTS sector. Compliance years have started. This is not a future obligation — it is a current one. Most operational teams are not ready.

— BEE / Ministry of Power, June 2025

03 / Coastal

More carbon in mangroves than tropical forests

Per hectare, mangroves are among the most carbon-dense ecosystems on earth — and among the most rapidly degraded. Their restoration is both an ecological imperative and a significant carbon credit opportunity.

— IUCN Blue Carbon Initiative

04 / Social

40%

of Odisha mining districts are tribal Schedule V

Free Prior Informed Consent in these areas is the condition under which a project either holds or doesn't. Most ESG consultants treat it as paperwork. We treat it as the foundation.

— Forest Rights Act / Odisha State Census

05 / Trade

$8.2B

India's steel & aluminium exports to EU in 2022

Every tonne requires verified carbon data from 2026 under CBAM. Without it: levies. With it: a competitive position that exporters without ESG credentials cannot match.

— Ministry of Commerce, 2024

06 / Market

2026

India Carbon Market full launch

Carbon Credit Certificates will trade on Indian power exchanges. Projects registered now will issue credits into a market that is already forming. The window to prepare is closing.

Dr. Purnima Anjali Mohanty

Founder & Principal Consultant · Est. Odisha 2024

22 years in management education. Researcher in gender and transgender studies. Someone who spent decades watching the gap between what organisations report and what they actually do grow wider — and in 2024 decided to close it.

Her research spans gender studies, transgender inclusion and the social cost of ecological degradation. She is currently working to mainstream the transgender community of Odisha — people who live at the intersection of every social vulnerability, in districts where mining and industry have reshaped the land and the lives around them. When Pinnk Ravenz asks who bears the cost, this is the research that informs the answer.

// A Letter from the Founder · To the Globe

Why the raven is the right messenger.

Ravens are disappearing. Not everywhere — but in enough places, and in patterns careful enough, that those of us who pay attention can see what is being said.

They leave when old trees fall to mining and highways, when monoculture replaces food diversity, when pesticide-laced carcasses reach them through the bodies of others. Power lines take their young. Climate change moves the timing of every meal. Where humans have long called them omens of darkness, they have been trapped, chased, killed.

The raven's disappearance is rarely sudden. It is the slow withdrawal of a creature that has watched the system longer than we have. When ravens leave, something deeper has already shifted in the web.

Pinnk Ravenz takes the raven as our namesake because we mean to be the same: present where damage has been done. Carriers of memory. Watchers of the whole chain. Indispensable in the repair.

To anyone reading this — wherever you are, in whatever ecosystem — the raven leaving your skyline is a question waiting to be asked. We are here to ask it.
